Done with December's Page

Finally finished December's page on January 1st. Now I just need to complete October and November and January's page. One of my goals (I don't set resolutions) for 2008 and January in particular, is to get caught up with my pages.

Was inspired by all of the snow we got in December - second snowiest December on record.

I want to try some new techniques on the new pages to expand my repertoire of bead embroidery. I'll rummage in my bead stash to see what inspires me.

Today's quote comes from Scott Allen: Done is better than perfect.

Happy New Year, Any! Loved your photos of all that snow and your snowflakes sure do twinkle with those crystals . . .

I've made snowflakes before, but I loved the addition of the crystals. Really pretty!

Big and little snow flakes... I love it when it snows like that. Your December piece makes me happy! Did you weave the snow flakes first, and then sew them on your piece?

Quite a number of us are right in your same goal boat.... Maybe your Scott Allen quote will help ;>) Robin

I navigated to your blog thru Beading Daily... LOVE your banner... I've been fascinated w/ Dutch Spiral recently... is that Dutch Spiral? If not, what kind of spiral? I *need* to know the sizes, etc, etc... can you email me? neh634@bellsouth.net

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Robin, I wove the snowflakes first (the big one a year ago) and then stitched them to the felt.

I needed immediate gratification!

You've certainly set some goals for yourself. I feel good if I manage to do a few of the things I list at the beginning of the new year. I like your quote. Instant gratification is a great pick-me-up especially if you are getting behind on your pages (like me).
