Where Do We Get Our Ideas?

I was just surfing some beader's blogs and I began to wonder - where do we get our ideas?

Often, for me, an idea will emerge and sit in my head and in my journal pages for years. I may not know what I'm going to do with it, but it fermets and grows until I have a better idea of how to approach it. Sometimes the approach doesn't work, and often the idea doesn't turn out as I had hoped it would. It's difficult to get from the planning stage to the execution stage without some blips along the way.

I have my idea for August's page and a small idea about September's page, but I'm not sure how to get to the finished product.

Should be able to work on August's page this weekend - and will probably be able to finish it if I try.

Quotation for today: When I am working on a problem, I never think about beauty. I think only of how to solve the problem. But when I've finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it's wrong. - Buckminster Fuller

Well, I must admit that I began to think about this when I was looking at your latest project and I thought to myself - where does she come up with this stuff?
