October Page Finally Finished!

Better late than never, I say.

This particular page was difficult for many reasons and has gone through a few versions before I settled on filling it to overflow with the stack stitch. I enjoyed working on this page a lot.

Now I'm still behind February (but have the concept and the beads and the fabric ready to go), March and April.

Today's quote comes from Abraham Lincoln: Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing.

I was looking for a quote on tardiness and that didn't fit, and then procrastination, and that didn't fit, either and then I realized what a negative light I was putting on my success!

And, in light of today's sad anniversary of the loss of a great man, a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr: Human salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted.

Any, I just love this piece!!!

Don't feel bad -- October eluded me, too, and it is just now coming together for me.

Ditto to all the other comments... especially about running my fingers over and through all those stacks. I want to touch the face too. Awesome piece!!! Love the Lincoln quote too... good that you found this connection to the positive side.

Thank you all for your feedback. This piece was a love/hate relationship. October sucked, to be frank, which is why it took so long for me to finish this page.
